Fort Madison Iowa Photographer: I’m still kickin!

Oh blog, how I neglect you. Sorry, but I have e-mails to answer phone calls to make, errands to run and pictures to edit. I promise I am coming back to you very soon.:)

So, where the heck have I been? Shooting tons! Here are just a few-I have TONS of seniors to blog and it’s goin’ down this week! Yaaay! And you know what else is coming up? RODEO!!! YEEEHAW. Fort Madison isn’t a very big town, but we have a huge pro rodeo every year that brings in tons of people and it is always a blast. I have been working with The Funky Cowgirl to create some awesome stuff for print ads and booth display and it is going to be awesome. I will be there on the 9th to see Jamey Johnson (hubby doesn’t know this yet, but he loves Jamey, so we’re going!) I will definitely be sharing some photos of the booth in all of it’s funky goodness.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to readers of The Burlington Hawkeye for voting me #1 Reader’s Choice for photographer in Ft. Madison, Iowa. Very exciting! I didn’t even know the contest was going on and I got a text today from my mom congratulating me. I love capturing all of your memories, so It really means a lot to me.

Sorry for the overexcited blog post. I have been sick for way too long and I’m pretty sure I’m on waaaaaaaaaay too many meds. LOL. Off to bed. I can’t have a blog post without a photo, so I leave you with this. Yep, I looooove my job! Have a great week everyone!

Fort Madison Iowa Photographer: Ashley, 2010 Senior (No, this is not a repeat!)

Ashley had so many fun clothes and was a natural in front of the camera. She has one of the those bright, for real smiles. Does that makes sense? What I mean is that when she smiles her whole face lights up and I love it! Makes for beautiful pictures.:)She brought her mom and boyfriend with her to her session and they were definitely a huge help-don’t know how we would have kept all of those clothes together without them. We ran a little bit over and ended up getting some awesome sunset shots at the end of the night. I love love love them.

Keokuk Iowa Photographer, Ashley: 2010 Senior

OK, I am majorly blog slacking, so here a marathon blog session for everyone who has been so patiently waiting! I have been super busy photographing families, seniors, newborns and lots of weddings with my Wendi. The summer has absolutely blown by and is going great.

Ashley and I had so much fun roaming around Keokuk for her senior session. I suggested that we head up there for a little change of scenery and found out that even though she is a senior at Fort Madison High School, she is originally from Keokuk, so she was right in here element! Ashley was so sweet and so excited about her session which made it even more fun for both of us. The very next day she headed out to Des Moines to MEPS and officially joined the Air Force. I must say that is very impressive and I am so proud of her! Have a great senior year, Ashley!

Keosaqua Iowa Photographer: Ben, Van Buren High School Senior!

I took a road trip to Keosauqua for Ben’s senior session and I am so glad that he chose to have his pictures done in his hometown. There is a beautiful state park there with a lake and tons and tons of roads, beautiful river views, forests and so much more!

Ben is a distance runner and even went to state for track last year. I love the shots of him at his home track-in his element for sure! He is also a lifeguard (notice the great tan?) so we traveled down a zillion steps to the lake front to get some shots on the beach. I am so in love with the black and white shot of him on the beach-I think it looks straight out of a Hollister ad!

Thanks so much Luey and Ben for showing Jesse and I around your home town. We had a lot of fun!

Illinois Senior Photographer: Kaitlyn, 2010 Senior Model

And last but definitely not least of my 2010 senior models! Kaitlyn is a 2010 senior from Central Lee High School and I did her entire session on location right here in the big metropolis of Dallas City. The more I explore around this tiny town, the more awesome, unique locations I find! Kaitlyn had awesome clothes and was seriously a natural model. I still can’t get over how beautiful she looks in all of her pictures. Make sure you check out the video so you can see all of her sneak peek!
